PEEVES by BRANDI ››
People claiming they're so dedicated to any one thing that they're MORE than 100% dedicated to it.
Seems to be said a lot during reality show individual interviews. They generally go something like this: Honestly, at the end of the day, like, I just want to say that I gave, like, 110% of myself to this experience.
And then they ineveitably use 110% to describe themselves to someone else, at which point that person (in a need to one-up the other) suddenly becomes 120% of whatever they're discussing, sometimes being bold enough to even declare themselves 1000% in support of whatever nonsense they're so supportive of.
It makes me want to scream with 1000% of my lung force.

Inappropriate windshield wiper speeds.
If you're at a stoplight and it's drizzling, your wipers don't need to be working so frantically that they screech across the windshield.

There's more to the story that you don't know.
It's the adult version of "I know a secret and I'm not gonna tell you". Either tell me or don't, I don't give a shit, but don't tell me you're NOT gonna tell me and act all smug that you know some trivia detail of the drama that you're not going to deign to tell me.
