Hastily wiping your hand on your pants before giving me a handshake.
What was on your hand? Is it off now? May I decline this handshake?

I think it's often an excess of clamminess. Could be something else, though. It seems rude and dirty. How do you feel about gloves and their removal during handshakes?
— BIffy
They have to come off. Shaking hands with gloves on feels like hand humping.

Would you rather them wipe before or after? I actually suffer from hyperhidrosis and tend to have a bit of sweat on my hand althought I've done nothing. I usually make a hasty wipe before I shake. People usually appreciate it.

They tell you so?

Between 1st and 2nd encounters, yes. Say I didn't do it the first time we met, they'd get the clamminess of my handshake. People usually mention the sweatiness of my palm. Then if we meet again, I make a hasty wipe, usually by sticking my hands in my pocket to be less noticeable. They don't say anything then.

Ajay, what are the other symptoms of hyperhidrosis? Is there medication for it?
— hyper, but not hidrosis
Nothing more than sweaty body parts. Some people have it in the hands, like I do. Some people have it under their arm pits. I had a band director with it on his head (he was bald.)
