That movie 300 was ruined by their phony accents

Same thing goes for movies about the life of Jesus. Last time I checked Jesus wasn't an Englishman.

— Raze

It would be so much better if Caesar and Christ sounded like Keanu Reeves.

I don't get it either. World War II movies...the GERMANS have English accents!! That is straight up OFFENSIVE! There are German actors that speak english, USE THEM!

But if you use German actors to speak English with a German accent, and English in the movie is actually supposed to be German, then wouldn't that mean that they were speaking **their own language** with an accent?

neutral accents. not that hard to master if you're a decent actor.

This irks me. This, and the way you can usually tell who the villain is because they have a posh English accent. MUFASA AND SCAR WERE BROTHERS. WHY DID THEY HAVE DIFFERENT ACCENTS, HUH?
