When non-Brits sign off emails with the word "Cheers"

I definitely do this...sometimes I'm at a loss, particularly in business emails, for a way to sign off that isn't completely hollowed out by now, like, "sincerely" or "warm regards," and cheers helps me get past that.

I use thanks if I'm asking the person to do something and then signing off. If there's no request in the body, thanks hardly makes any sense in the closing. I don't like when someone says Cheers either because there's just no response to Cheers. You can't both say Cheers. Best, Kerrin

It's an upbeat sign off with no false affection and no response required. "Best" sound so limp. Be well!

It bothers me but I feel like it shouldn't. It's such a useful word.
