Cash Only

Not just for cheap places, either, for an actual restaurant where the meal is going to be kind of expensive. What am I, a made man? I'm supposed to carry wads of cash in my pocket?

This is invariably followed by the 15 minute rain-soaked city safari to find an ATM, the likes of which is always located in a bodega--where they will scam your PIN 20/20 style-- and has a $3.00 fee. It's 2009, shady dining establishment, get with the program!

One of my BIGGGEST pet peeves ever!! I refuse to do business with "Cash Only" establishments. As far as I am concerned we should be a cashless society.

Thanks to a recent torrent of spam, I’ve had to disable comments for a while. I’ve now removed the ability to put links in the comments. Email me if you want to put something in, such as five links to knock-off handbag sites, and I’ll happily oblige.

I’ve added two features to the sidebar: Highest Rating and Hotly Debated. They will be updated daily. To my surprise, the ketchup-in-fridge peeve seemed to really incite some anger — it’s clearly a complex situation that affects us all.

It should be noted that the star ratings indicate how much you agree with, or appreciate, the peeve, not how you feel when it happens.

I will be adding a Paragon Peeves section as well, for my and my friends’ personal favorites.
