When dinner is served in a restaurant in a plastic basket, with paper under the food.
Usually this type of serving style is used for terrible french fries (clearly frozen and put in a deep fat fryer) and some heavily battered and fried meat.

Wow, I have to totally disagree with this one. Some of the best food comes on paper... Hut's burgers in Austin is one primo example that springs to mind randomly. Also most delicious beach food. Yeah!

It functions as a piece of newspaper for a food dog to grease on.

I've got to agree with jmc. Some of the most wonderful fried dough products come on paper, as do fried catfish and hush puppies!
