Calling me back without listening to the voicemail I just left

Now I have to say it all again, and you're going to listen to it all again later.

God bless you for posting, this drives me up a wall too. It always happens after I have left a particular detailed or difficult message...

I call back because I HATE HATE HATE checking voice mail. I'm trying to train everyone in my life not to leave messages but just send a text for me to call them

Oh yeah. When someone leaves a lengthy voice mail for my boss, I always save it and leave him a note to listen to it. Inevitably he will come to my desk and toss the note at me and say "what did he want?" So I have to repeat the whole message verbally. Then to top it off, he calls the client, who asks my boss if he listened to the voice mail, and my boss says "no, what did it say" causing the client to repeat the whole thing AGAIN! Sometimes he even tells the client I didn't save the message, making me look like a complete idiot. I just want to wring his neck. After fifteen years I finally see this is all a power play on his part but it will never not be annoying.
