When a dentist or dental hygenist asks you questions during your cleaning when they clearly realize they have both hands stuck in your mouth and you can't respond.
And the weird part is that every single dentist/hygenist does this and none of them acknowledge that you are unable to respond. So instead they pause and you are forced to mumble out some sort of incoherent response which they can't possibly understand.

Of COURSE they can understand, that's the real reason they went to school. Think about it, did you go to university to learn how to brush teeth? No cus that's the east part, the hard part is finishg new ways to torture people with a smile and decipher their pain level through their mumbles.

YES this is so true. I just end up gurgling/mumbling some response and then my dentist tells me that I'm very quiet. How am I supposed to be talkative??
