Using mobile phones at the register.
I work nights as a grocery store cashier and I'm sick and tired of people coming up to my register on their mobile phones. It always seems to be the people who are awful at multitasking, so it slows up my line--which can negatively affect my performance reviews--and it's just plain rude. Unless you're a doctor walking an intern through a life-saving procedure, why not quit your lame-ass conversation and actually interact with the human being in front of you. I may only earn minimum wage, but you might find the experience pleasurable all the same.

It's very rude and dismissive to maintain a phone conversations while interacting with some other person. Some people fail to realize their "oh hey...howz it going...oh nothing....at the store...." can wait until a few seconds later. I did my time in retail too. I would generally not speak at all to people who were engaged in a cell phone conversation, or look them in the eye really. I just did my job and let them GTFO. It's so rude of them.
