Someone asking me a question from another room, when it is clear that I can't hear.

This is immediately followed by a requisite "what?!"

oh my god yes. in most apartments, walls are there specifically for the prevention of noise reduction. therefore, if you're in another room, I can't hear you. which shouldn't mean "yell".

Completely agree! And then the original speaker gets all annoyed that you can't hear them. Ugh.

Hahaha. My old roommate and my dad do this all the time. I used to actually have to come back into the room or go into their room in order to hear them. After a while I just started ignoring them whenever they do that or through out an occasional "yeah!"
