Rude direction seekers
This happens all the time in New York. Often people just turn away from you when they have the information they need, or worse, get more demanding and frustrated with the information you're giving them. Sometimes you will say too much, and, not wanting to seem like a visitor, they'll say "Oh yeah, I know I know" and then walk off. Some slightly drunken, B+T / douche guy sarcastically yelled "thanks, yeah, thank, really really helpful" after he had demanded to know where a specific street address was and no one in my party did.
They act as if you are their employee.

One time I was in Hamburg and a car pulled over and asked for directions to Denmark. I said north.

Most people either do not listen or get confused when given directions.

My friend does that. It's so annoying. They give her the information, and then she snobbishly turns her face away. Like, she's done talking. It makes me want to throw her.

I don't even bother with directions anymore; if I answer the phone at work and they want directions to where we work, I direct them to mapquest or randmcnally or google maps. Lazy bastards.

This is great when you're a girl. They ask you on the supposition that a girl won't mug them, but then argue with you about the directions you just gave them because girls are stupid and have no sense of direction. I've lived in DC for 12 years, fuckhead. If you're so much smarter than me, get a goddamn map.

This just happened to me again: some drunk guy asked what direction a bar was in, I told him, and he started doubting me, and demanding to know what direction the bar was in again. What am I supposed to do with that?

Biffy, give him directions to the police station.
