Love this! It's always annoying when my white private schooled educated friends living in Greenpoint and Williamsburg complain about the gentrification. But my faux leather leggings really got in a bunch when after living in Bed-Stuy a mere four months, my white male goatteed music engineering friend complained about the "bearded hipsters' living down the block "acting like they own the place."

It's because it's nice to live in an inexpensive area and have all your friends live near you (many of which may be hipsters) but it's not so nice to have so many hipsters live their that the cost of living goes up.

Thanks to a recent torrent of spam, I’ve had to disable comments for a while. I’ve now removed the ability to put links in the comments. Email me if you want to put something in, such as five links to knock-off handbag sites, and I’ll happily oblige.

I’ve added two features to the sidebar: Highest Rating and Hotly Debated. They will be updated daily. To my surprise, the ketchup-in-fridge peeve seemed to really incite some anger — it’s clearly a complex situation that affects us all.

It should be noted that the star ratings indicate how much you agree with, or appreciate, the peeve, not how you feel when it happens.

I will be adding a Paragon Peeves section as well, for my and my friends’ personal favorites.
