Totally agree. One thing that really irks me is when I mention some TV show I've watched and the other person responds with "Well I'm just too busy to watch tv." Really?! Your attempt to make me feel like a lazy sloth is unsuccessful.

Yes! Especially when people act like my having time to live mindfully and actually enjoy life is a sign of spoiled luxury or personal failure, rather than a sign of my efforts to maintain physical and mental health. I made these choices very deliberately, and made sacrifices to live the way I do, just like you did. You could also choose not to be so busy, but it's clearly not important enough, so lose the chip on your shoulder and just admit that the mere idea of free time and being alone with your thoughts threatens the hell out of you!

Damn, so true. I really hate that, I'm so busy...I'm so busy. If you;re so busy, how the hell do you have time to complain about being busy. But when I come around to shoot the shit...of course you're too busy to chat. And so true about the busy bodies being to afraid to be unbusy and actually have the "free time" to have their trapped thoughts seep out.

I cannot stand when people act as if they don't remember a person that you know they remember, like someone that you both grew up with. I actually saw an old friend a couple of years ago that I hadn't seen in about 5 years, and he acted as if he couldn't quite remember who I was. The funny thing is, that we knew each other from the age of 12 to 24, and were pretty good friends, although he always owed me money. I think that all the evils of the world stem from low self-esteem.hirstpe

I’ve added two features to the sidebar: Highest Rating and Hotly Debated. They will be updated daily. To my surprise, the ketchup-in-fridge peeve seemed to really incite some anger — it’s clearly a complex situation that affects us all.

It should be noted that the star ratings indicate how much you agree with, or appreciate, the peeve, not how you feel when it happens.

I will be adding a Paragon Peeves section as well, for my and my friends’ personal favorites.
