Pressure to find my "passion."
What if I don't have a deep desire to make handbags or cupcakes? What if I just want to have a regular job and just be kind of okay with it, whatever?

Yes, and also, what if you've found your passion, but you are currently at a point in your life when you are not working on it at the moment, and are just trying to find peace in the regularness of the day to day. Why do you have to ask me what I'm working on all the time?!

Yes! I especially hate it when people who have lots of time, money, or both to pursue their passion act like the pursuit of a passion has nothing to do with having said time and money and everything to do with "wanting it" badly enough. It's the same as when wealthy types pull the "you REALLY should backpack around Europe for a few months -- it's just SO important to understanding what you want out of life" thing. Yes, and I also really should be able to pay my student loans...wanna do it for me so I can hop a plane to Paris?

I get this a ton! How about the fact that I will never make any money "following my passion" and I have bills to pay?!?!

Or like me, having had to work full-time all my adult life at a job I'm good at, but don't love...wanting to go back to college but don't have the time, money, and energy, having to raise a teenager by myself so all my time, money, and energy is spent on her ... and all I want to do is switch careers, but nobody will hire me without at LEAST a Bachelors (preferably a Masters) degree in the field. DEPRESSING!!
