Cats as villains
I hate the stereotype of cats as evil, menacing, conniving, lazy and vicious. For example: the cats in "Lady and the Tramp," Asriel from "The Smurfs," the cat in "Babe," and the cat in Stuart Little.

Because cats ARE evil. Cats are good at just sitting there looking like they want to kill you.

Well, first of all, most cats are lazy. That is not a fake stereotype. Sure, there are some hyperactive freaks, but it's a small part of the population. Second, cats often look menacing and conniving, when they're not kittens. Cats can also be -quite- vicious, just watch one hunting mice. And as for the evil part...well...they ARE planning world domination.

But "lazy" is a negative term, implying that they are expected to have a much higher activity level than what they exhibit. Personally, I'm quite content to be around an animal that doesn't have to be doing something every god damn second.

And dogs can be blood-thirsty murderers, but they aren't portrayed as being evil.

In my experience, cats have never proven to be evil. My cat, for example, is very loving, but sometimes lashes out at strangers due to a fear of intimacy.

I think this is totally deserved! I am not a cat lover and I absolutely think cats are out to get me.

Cats tend to function more in alpha waves than we humans do. Alpha waves are connected to "paranormal" activity. So thats wht kitty cats are seen as vicious, soul sucking fur balls. I like them...when they arent out to get me.
