Feminine handshakes.

Ladies, it's not the 19th century anymore - learn a firm handshake. I'm a woman and I hate shaking other women's hands, half the time they present their hand too high with the fingers pointed down - Do you want me to shake your hand or kiss it?

THANK YOU! I am a woman and I loathe women who shake hands this way. It feels affected and phony, especially since there is no damn way I'm kissing your hand.

I was always taught to have a firm handshake, so I end up feeling really awkward when presented with the kind of handshake you talk about. I'm afraid of crushing the poor, dainty hand

YES! Especially when they give me that one where it's like they expect me to kiss it - even when I'm another woman, not some suitor looking to woo her! But, on the other hand, the dead fish ladies sure help those of us with a good firm handshake to stand out!

I don't think all women mean to do this. I'm just naturally a very tentative person, and some handshakes take me by surprise.
