Mandatory use of "my" for items on the internet and on one's computer.

My Documents, My Pictures, MySpace, MyCiti, MySQL, My God!

I hate that too. I guess Microsoft thinks we're all so stupid we'd be lost if a file was just named "Music", for example.

It's like getting a cheeseburger "my way." The fantasy being that both my computer and my sandwich are outlets for personal expression.

Yeah... I just change the names to what I want. Why stick with default?

Sometimes the program name starts with 'my', so there's nothing you can do about it ... ever. For Macs, 'I' presents a similar problem.

Thats why i like Vista, the 'My' prefix is gone from 'Documents', "Pictures', 'Computer', etc.

Thanks to a recent torrent of spam, I’ve had to disable comments for a while. I’ve now removed the ability to put links in the comments. Email me if you want to put something in, such as five links to knock-off handbag sites, and I’ll happily oblige.

I’ve added two features to the sidebar: Highest Rating and Hotly Debated. They will be updated daily. To my surprise, the ketchup-in-fridge peeve seemed to really incite some anger — it’s clearly a complex situation that affects us all.

It should be noted that the star ratings indicate how much you agree with, or appreciate, the peeve, not how you feel when it happens.

I will be adding a Paragon Peeves section as well, for my and my friends’ personal favorites.
