When you help someone with their computer, and they blame all subsequent problems on your intervention.

I've somehow ended up as tech support for a handful of people. This is one of the side-effects.

Oh god, this happens to me constantly. I'm like the only one in my family that knows anything about computers. So i help someone hook up a wireless router for their new laptop or something, and all of a sudden its my fault that the router crashes every time they open LimeWire. Its not my fault that you bought a belkin!

This continues to haunt me constantly, yet I feel no reward for my helping people with it. It's expected.

In an office with 4 attorneys and 3 legal assistants, I am the most knowledgeable about computers. But I am a legal assistant, not a computer tech. Just because I was able to help you before does not mean that I know how to do anything and everything on a computer.

Yea people get a raw deal. When a techy person helps me out, I'm so thankful because they save me so much money compared to getting the problem fixed at best buy.
