Parsimonious earphone removal
When you engage in conversation with someone, but they only take one earphone out--as though what you are saying is only worth one ear.

No no no no, this peeve should be "people that engage you in conversations while you are obviously listening to headphones" people, seriously headphones= do not disturb. I don't reallllllly wanna give you directions or hear that you like my shoes, I just wanna hear my music and be left alone. Therefore, you only get one ear listening to you. Dismissed!

I'm with Personaldecay! If I wanted to chat, I wouldn't use earphones in the first place and yes, you are interrupting me.

I totally agree - If my earphones are in I am totally NOT available.

Ditto with all the above. Also, if you take both earbuds out, you have to hold the headphoes or tuck them in your pocket, or else they dangle awkwardly. Leaving one in means that the other is readily accessible for continued music listening once the annoying interrupter has gone away.

The worst is when I'm watching netflix on my computer and my roommate intermittently asks me a random questions or makes some irrelevant observation so that every 5 mintues I have to stop her in mid-sentence, take my headphones out, and have her repeat whatever inane thing she just said.
